This was a song done by the incredible Burt Bacharach, sung by Iain Bellamy. It's audio perfection.

he made this version? cause it's a carpenters song originally right?

Right. Carpenters did the original, but this version was Bacharach. You can see for yourself here:

ok i checked out Iain bellemy, it says he composed the track, he is a jazz musician, and the singer on this mirror mask footage is a female, so i am seriously confused now

OK its sorted, i found out, the song was composed by Iain Bellemy, and sung by Josephine Cronholm. Burt Bacharach did do a cover of it, as did many composers, it is a really popular song as many of yall would have heard it 10000 times. But I had to correct kritikul cause i know burt bacharach did shit waayyy back, and this version is new and off a movie.

Just watched this movie last night...best part was the song. It was a bit too artsy for my taste, but I want that song for my ipod.

the song itself was composed by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

The Carpenters were not the first to record it, but they were the first to make it a hit.

The version in Mirrormask is sung by Josephine Cronholm.

Iain Bellamy may've done the arrangement, I don't know. When crediting soundtracks, there's a tendency to give blanket credit to the person that did the majority of the arrangements and/or compositions, especially online.
